So what do we mean by "Semi Off-Grid"?

A Semi Off-Grid System is a self-sufficient, independent Solar System that runs a house on its own electricity circuit.
It is reliant on the sun to run the home, charge batteries and enable the batteries (with enough storage) to run your home in the event of a blackout.
All you need is adequate sunlight.

How a Semi Off-Grid Solar System Works?

With a Semi Off-Grid System:

  • You won't pay anything close to what you're currently paying for power.

  • Your home will become energy-independent.

  • You will go from paying your electricity provider up to $3,000 to saving a tonne of cash over the course of thirty years.

  • In 30 years, you'll pay a minimum of $120,000 in electricity costs.

  • With a single investment now, into a Semi Off-Grid Systems you'll wipe that bill completely.

Check out the differences between a home without solar and one with Solar System.

Home 1: No Solar

  • Pays $55,000 in electricity costs per year
  • Uses Grid as main power supply.

Home 2: Semi Off-Grid System

  • Pays $12 each year to energy provider for back up supply.
  • Uses Solar System as main power supply.
  • Home value has increased by the value of the solar system.

So What Solar Rebates are you Eligible for?

Each year until 2030, the Federal Government has a rebate called the STC Rebate.

The STC Rebate (Small Technologies Certificates) provides cash back based on how much solar you have installed and where you live (postcode).

Each year from January 1, this rebate decreases by 20%. Typically for a 6.6kW system, you could get $2,500 back in rebates. However, this is subjective to your postcode, and how much Solar you have installed.
The rebate, therefore, varies.
